The sigil of Blurup
Introduction:The seas of Agartha are part of what the Fishfolk call the Sunken Empire. In Agartha, Blurup is the Sunken Empire’s outpost. Also known as the City of Light Blurup is located in the The Nusquam Sea and it is affixed on a deep underwater plateau known as the Star Rise. During low tide some of the city has been know to be exposed above the waters. Much is unknown about the Fishfolk who inhabit this sunken city but seafarers tell tales, both good and bad, about the Fishfolk and their bizarre ways.
Judicial System:Each caste within Fishfolk society has a governing body that rules over it, this body is made up of the highest ranking members of that caste but still must heed any decision from the caste(s) above it. Within each of these castes there are separate rules for how justice is preserved. If the shaman decides that a case is too important or it involves an outsider then they may decide the guilt/innocence of the accused. Often this is accompanied with a kind of mock trial. Punishments for members of their society most often include forcing a citizen into a lower class for minor offenses, death for more serious ones, and for the worst ones banishment and exile. To the Fishfolk exile is much worse than death which is often viewed as not a punishment but rather giving the Sea Mother the right to decide the individual’s fate. The most common punishment and result for cases involving outsiders is drowning.

Cuisine (Drink): Blarbup is known for a drink that the Fishfolk call the Liquid Gift. Being that the Fishfolk consume most of their fluids through their skin they have no need to drink, they simply absorb moisture while in water. Thus there are only two reasons why Fishfolk drink, to sustain themselves during long periods outside of water, and to become intoxicated. Through a process that no other race has come to understand the Fishfolk produce the Liquid Gift, a clear fluid that has more of a burning sensation than any real flavor, and is said to heavily intoxicate the partaker.
